The three books I have listed below are just a few among many that I have read in my search for the true science behind the dietary changes that I made with the goal of improving not only my overall health, but my neurological function as well. Some are available as audio books as well if you would rather listen than read. All of them cite the studies, medical papers, and peer reviews that support the conclusions found.

A very small book; with the simple basics of a ketogenic diet. Ketogenic diets were first developed in the 1950's as a seizure disorder treatment for children. Dr. Eric C. Westman presents the basic of a ketogenic diet (carbohydrate restricted) and presents the information in a very accessible manner.
